But how can you come without expectations when information on this plant is so widely shared on the internet? I just watched a documentary on a woman from Liverpool, England, who went and lived a month with the women in a Babongo Village. I rarely watch anything so for me it was nice. She learnt their way of life in the village. It was interesting because as I watched the show, they only mentioned Iboga once. It was more about day to day life for the women of the village. Then when it was time to leave, the grandmother said that she would like to initiate the western woman. As I watched the video and saw the results of the initiation ceremony for someone who truly had no expectations, I could see she was so blessed with universal understandings that did not exist for her before.. Her simple but wise expressions of pure understanding of her life's path afterwards truly made me very happy.
I see people come to Iboga and they do not come with this innocence. In this modern world, it is virtually impossible (but I have seen varying degrees of it). Even when you go to Gabon now, you know you are going with the expectation that you are going to take Iboga. I have done much work with Iboga and one of my main lessons to date has been removing all my expectations of the experience before, during and after. These expectations may be built on past experiences with altered states of being, other psychedelics, or other beliefs but as you learn to release these patterns of behavior you can begin to see the freedom of the experience, without even looking at it. This has been my greatest lesson to date for this frees me from my own preconceptions and when in process allows me not to define it. I am truly in the state of spontaneity and in this state, I am able to receive. However, this is not easy if you are already so disconnected that you can no longer control your thoughts let alone observe them and implement a conscious strategy of belief replacement in your life. Addictions, PTSD, OCD, repetitive thoughts, & manifested emotions such as anger, grief, shame, depression and anxiety, all exist now as a program of the subconscious mind. Negative thought is the illusory world, not the other way around. Just because millions express negativity does not affirm or justify its existence. It merely says millions live in illusion - the illusion we do not create reality with our thought. The truth is that we need only surrender to the opposite condition and use the tools left to us by spirit to reconvene with ourselves and realise the lessons here on this physical plane. When we get out of the way, when we surrender without aversion, we close the gap and we begin our training as Gods in the making. We begin our life through rebirth with Iboga. So we ask ourselves what are we expecting Iboga to do, what do we anticipate or expect Iboga to be? To be sure, we will always gain that which we need with Iboga, not necessarily that which we want. Our states of dis-ease are generated by a distinct difference between what we are wanting and what we are not getting. At this point, there is an energetic collision and the subsequent pulling between these points. This opposition generates an emotional signal, a signal felt as an emotion to tell us that we are in opposition and that control must be relinquished. A message from soul to flesh that we must address this difference, look at what is causing the dis-ease. One will be what we want and one what we need. Behind dis-ease lies exactly what we need. The emotional tone and signal of disease and negativity is only existent to get us out of the way, to get us to listen to love, to the soul. It is not there to scare us, to break us, to destroy us. It is our lighthouse to love. stare through the light without attachment, to its capture of negativity and we find the need of self in soul. The soul is never wrong, it is all knowing. After all, it is the one sending the signals. Who would go so far as to want to elevate you, to free you from dis-ease. Who would go so far? Who loves you if not you? Abandoning ourselves, to ourselves soul is the art. The art, being art, takes physical time and space yet the art already exists completed. We must accept the soul metering out of lessons over time with patience. Our patience is acceptance of time, which is learning in action, to sit with ourselves through any circumstance. Iboga and soul want us to sit in this time/action, to learn to be with ourselves, to feel all there is to feel with ourselves, so we may remap and experience that which is completed. For what is completed, to stay alive, it needs us to sing its thread, its journey, to accumulate and wind up energy, we are on the orbit of ourselves, our planet, of our souls. Our soul calls us to be and become what we are meant to be in our becoming. The soul knows of no roadblocks and when we find some we have all the help we need to navigate them. They are an intrinsic part of the plan, the road blocks are our illusory boundaries, ever moving willingly as we become inspired to be more of what we are through overcoming this particular design of obstacle. This is the soul's meaningful game play. We must sit in and with ourselves to learn what it is that we must become. In the modern world today, one feels complete when escaping and running from the soul, on the run from the self so to speak. When do we sit with our problems as a friend would sit with another friend? The problem is not the problem, the time sitting us with and within the problem is not the problem, your reaction to these elements is your problem. How we react becomes the problem, we choose our reactions, we create our actions, the soul uses our Iboga phone to transmit knowledge of that which is divine choice. Our lives are pathways available for choosing, completed, ready to be engaged on an active experiential level. To be outside of time is to choose, to be free of time is the moment point of reaction and action. Then we experience a chosen event through time and space. We must sit with our choice to know what it is that we choose and to know what it is that we must develop. The active choice, the knowing choice, is our letting go to spirit, to soul, to merge with our greater personhood. In this training, we undertake the Bwiti and Iboga, we learn to abandon ourselves to that which sustains us, to free up the communication between the ego self and this deep framework of soul. With Iboga, we learn the dreamscape, its influences and interchanges with reality. Is a dog like a cat? So in stating the inherently obvious, what could be the motivating force behind someone wanting to create a vs between plant medicine? Firstly, there is no for and against in the universe and this is what plant medicines teach! They are all from the one divine source and this is what their injunction remains. So, back to why we have everyone telling us Iboga vs Ayahuasca. Well, plain and simple, they are trying to make what they have more attractive to you and justify it to themselves as what people need to hear. This strengthens their righteousness, rather innocently even. Iboga teaches that we do not justify or affirm to anyone, that reality is not something to be controlled, it is something to guide us to truth. Strengthening a position for someone else is controlling reality. Personally we have experienced both plants and continue their teaching. Most providers writing about the differences between Ayahuasca and Iboga have only ever had one or the other have not experienced the truth of these plants. In fact, as a student of Bwiti and Iboga I am eternally surprised that within the Iboga world in the west there is constant commentary on what Ayahuasca does without even having experienced the plant themselves. No plant medicine can avail itself to anyone other than the self experiencing it. Iboga teaches that we listen to what we want to hear from ourselves, not from what others want us to read or hear. Choose that which the heart speaks and healing will fall upon thee. You can see in this photo the top of the yoga deck and the blue line above it is the ocean. Yes, yes.... parallax error for sure, I know it all too well from my physics degree but everyday it amazes me because it definately denies all laws of physics. Some days the vista provided by the ocean is so immense, I see it and I do not believe it......it continues to change in all dimesions at different times of the day and I am constantly astonished, everyday, when I look out, I take notice and I make sure that I never forget, that every day is different and not to take this for granted. In reality, this photo is so unable to capture the reality I see through my eyes, compared to how it looks in real life, I apologize for this poor representation. And then again, I am totally incapable of even beginning to know how it looks to you. The sentiment of this reminded me of this quote "Your eye knows it sees , though it cannot see itself except through the use of reflection. In the same way the world as you see is a reflection of what you are, a reflection not in glass but in three dimensional reality . You project your thoughts, feelings, expectations outward, then you percieve them as the outside reality. Tourists are here now, enjoying everything Costa Rica has to offer. Masks are required in public places such as supermarkets, public transport etc but you may enjoy places like the beach and waterfalls without a mask.
To visit Costa Rica is easy. Travelers only need to meet these three simple entry requirements: 1. Have a valid passport and proof of intent to exit Costa Rica within 90 days. Of course! 2. Insurance Policy Visitors traveling to Costa Rica will need to provide proof of a medical insurance policy to cover any COVID-19 related medical treatment or quarantine lodging while in Costa Rica. In the case of international insurance, tourists must request from their insurer a certification issued in English or Spanish, noting:
3 Complete an online Health Pass (Pasa de Salud) 48 hours prior to travel to Costa Rica (don´t try and fill it out earlier as we did as it will not work). The Health Pass can be found at https://salud.go.cr. The site is both English and Spanish and is easy and quick to complete. It asks you for basic personal details such as your name, age, nationality, passport number, flight details and the address where you will be staying while in Costa Rica - which we can provide. You also need to enter your travel insurance number. If you are using one of the Costa Rican companies you can enter the number directly on the website and it will verify it on the spot making it easier. If using an international insurance provider, you also will need to upload your policy so that the Tourism Institute can verify it in advance of your arrival After completing the form, you are provided with a QR Code which will be scanned upon entry. IMPORTANT: Costa Rica no longer requires a negative COVID test to enter. This requirement was eliminated as of October 26. Better still we have personally gone through this process ourselves last year in October 2020 so it is still fresh in our minds and we can help and advise you. Your country may have special requirements upon returning and you should check before leaving. at the moment we are aware of the following special requirement for people returning to the US Returning to the US Effective January 26 2021, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older must provide a negative Covid-19 viral test taken within 72 hours of flight departure from Costa Rica. If you are returning to the US we can help you obtain these tests and drive you to testing facilities close by. Tests cost around $130 USD and results are provided within 24-72 hours. Negative ions neutralize free radicals and fortunately for us, these ions are most plentiful at the beach, mountain forest and waterfalls. We are triangulated within these. These ions conduct electrical signal through the body. They clean the cells nerves and muscles.

At the end of March 2021, we will be hosting our first Iboga retreat. It has always been our deepest of intentions to work with the Iboga medicine. It has been said, the union of nature and soul removes the veil of ignorance that covers an intelligence. Within the Bwiti tradition, Iboga brings this union, lifts the veil of ignorance and shows the self that it is empowered, that all is choice and the truth endures within the individual and not without the individual. The showing by the root, the coercing, returns the self to its union with the soul, the intersection where all abilities exist, where all knowledge resides and the only truth dwells. Iboga does not judge, does not discriminate and certainly does not deliver collectivist wisdom and iconography. It´s supreme intelligence guided through the powerful lens of BWITI tradition is somehow tailored to each and every individual´s unique set of problems.
