What is Iboga according to true Bwete practice, ancestral spirits & the spirit world?
Iboga is the tree of knowledge, a spirit left by the spirit world. It is a spiritual teacher and spirit guide, a person of itself, a being, not something that heals directly, rather a doorway to the universal truths. It delivers us to the realm of the ancestors, those beyond death and BWETE is the ancestral spiritual practice containing Iboga, the spirit world creates Iboga and tells us of Iboga´s existence so we may use this connection to spirit. Iboga does not bring us to the spirit world on its own. Iboga is used with spiritual mothers or fathers, Nima´s, Nganga´s, complex systems, cosmologies, philosophies and rituals, sacred instruments and pharmacopeia, use of botanicals, plants. All of which play essential roles in developing the entire physical organism, its psyche, its spirit and aligning it with the cosmos.
Therefore Iboga is a part of BWETE, it is inseparable from the processes that combine to form channels to the dimensions of spirit. There are many ways for BWETE to obtain spirit and Iboga is specific and not always necessary. A true connection to spirit occurs through Nganga, Nima and BWETE practice which takes many years of study. The Nganga and Nima must pass through the rituals, rites and ceremonies to be a part of a community vision, to practice BWETE in life, to use the spirits they become daily. They ingest spirit. Iboga´s healing cannot occur according to its intention as divined by spirit through the spirit world without these connections and this is what created Iboga in the first instance.
One cannot discuss the spirit world, this is to be experienced by the Bandzi which is the student. Dimensional doorways exist for all those seeking once we recognise Iboga as a part of an intricately layered system of dimensions which are part of the spirit world. Iboga is a conductor of truth of self, that which brings us into contact with the universal and transmutes our physical and mental components of our identities into health, relieving them of all that may ail or afflict. We merge and become Iboga, the ancestors, spirit, BWETE through this merging come to be us. Well before we ingest Iboga, it is working with us. Whether we see or feel the spirits and the spirit world, this is who and what awaits us when we ingest the spirit of Iboga. No other explanation of Iboga will be appropriate, for this is the word of spirit, this is the word of self, this is the word of Iboga. We do not explain Iboga, we are Iboga and we become Iboga and self to heal all without discrimination. Iboga is our connection to our afterlife, where we live beyond death. It is not that Iboga heals, we should say, it is that it teaches we live beyond death and when we know this, truly live this life of knowing our inviolate natures where we choose thought, become that which we think and create our universe then we have no need for fear or greed, mortal fear dissolves all fear dissolves, we become what we were born to become. What we are already. We BECOME spirit.
In BWETE, no man or woman describes Iboga to another, compartmentalizes Iboga, make fractions of Iboga and list all of things Iboga can do because what Iboga does for one individual is different from the next, for Iboga is us and clearly we are not other people. We are us. We must come to realisation of what we are through what Iboga and the ancestral spirits teach us. If we describe Iboga we change Iboga for others, this is for the individual, to become god within self and to learn to serve god by nurturing god's spirit within us. We are who we are, we are our unique version of the universe in completion, the spirit world shows us this. This is death through Iboga to rebirth with the ancestors' guidance.
Everything else outside of these deep understandings serve to distract Bandzi, the student, from aligning with spirit to become their soul and cure all that is dis ease of self, no matter what this is. First we must be strong in our practice and not fragmentize the spirit world which is whole and cannot be made into compartments if we are to know it and become it to heal ourselves. Iboga today is fast becoming fragmentary, mirroring modern society and its spatial relationships and losing its deep understanding of spirit through the bastardization of its entity. You cannot isolate compounds from it, call it a medicine, use it for those who are sick without the intention of healing by and through a spirit world, this way spirit which is what heals is lost. In BWETE and with Iboga, we cannot upsell things in and around it and separate it from BWETE practice. This will detract from the efficacy of Iboga. Iboga needs all processes outlined in the tradition to bring us to soul in spirit realm. It is a complete system over 10000 year old in its utility. This is its design, it has never existed without its system. You do not provide Iboga, no man provides Iboga! There are no men or women who do such, spirit gives Iboga. You cannot pay your way to spirit. Iboga knows no fear, therefore someone offering Iboga should not be fearful, for this is telling the self which is spirit, that it is not to be trusted, us being what spirit is, we therefore serve to create negative outcomes. The spirit world provides iboga, the ancestors, the dead, God, they are who provide Iboga. You ingest Iboga as a spirit, you take it on as a living entity and only true Nganga and Nima with strong spiritual layering can be a part of this spiritual guidance. Nothing in this practice exists that does not have meaning, and all processes in this tradition are inseparable to gain knowledge of why we are in disarray and dis-ease.
Iboga today is being promoted as a tool of itself that is a medicine because it can be manipulated and sold easily as a fast track to a perceived health. It is not a medicine and when its is treated as such, the spirit world will fall short of us. All physical disease, ailment and affliction occurs internally, in the gap between self and soul, in the space where we do not acknowledge spirit as our life force. When we call it medicine we cannot become spirit to heal because we take away our accountability and responsibility as beings. There are no fast tracks to gain spirit and become soul, Iboga requires a respect and acknowledgement of what it is for any man or woman to gain its knowledge, to become it and travel to self. When we follow the ethic, the deep knowledge and truly know what Iboga is, we are unstoppable in our intention to heal and it will not discriminate with what it cures. Everything can be cured with this spirit. Anything and everything.
